Established in 1893, Lappeenrannan Lyseo is a school with some 40 teachers and 660 students aged 17 – 19 catering to a variety of educational needs. In addition to regular upper secondary studies leading to university eligibility, we also offer IB classes and a special Russian language programme. As a spin-off, we value international contacts and have a long tradition of projects carried out together with foreign schools in various parts of Europe.
Our programmes are rather demanding, but as the subjects we teach are split into courses, we can offer our students a variety of ways to cope with the workload. With dedicated counselling, we seek to keep their goals realistic and maintain their resolve to go the extra mile that sometimes may be needed to achieve those goals. We have also seen our students go a long way with things such as confidence and perseverance; even the very interest they take in their subjects will help them meet their learning outcomes.
